Through the analysis of statistical figures, censuses, archives, laws, and reports that make visible / produce categories or social groups from the repressive apparatus of the State, we question the dispositifs of power that operate through data visualization and control technologies. How can we appropriate and subvert the logics of image technologies? How can we create images that do not put us in danger?
Emergències VII is a research and artistic production residency that explores archives, how we construct memory, and how futures are projected from an attitude of care toward processes of accumulation, forgetting, memory, and encounter.
