Interface?
Trans|gender|glitch is a process-project, a small website, a digital album, a connected personal space where I reflect on my identity through technology, visualization, internet hyper-visibility, and aesthetics.
These images have never been posted; they only exist and relate, creating a multiple and fragmented narrative on this website, on this server.
Between the years 2012-2016, different lived experiences converged. During this time, I spent a lot of time in front of a computer learning programming languages, dissecting images, playing with aesthetics, designing and contemplating interfaces. At the same time, I journeyed through genders, underwent transformations, and redefined myself. Before I knew it, I had a mix of interconnected languages about to erupt in my hard drive – a mishmash of ideas, words, images, and related codes that I visualize here.
It is an experiential eclipse transferred into intertwined images and words.
Glitch as a genre encompasses error as the creator of dissident bodies and identities.
Glitch/gender/trans become a machine-code-animal miscellany in digital aesthetics and the relationship with self-representation.
beauty,
error,
slip-up,
and all the wonderful possibilities that arise from this.
